Solutions — Smart Retail

One network layer for shops, machines and vehicles

Retail is a numbers game: dozens or thousands of small sites, each one needing a link that nobody visits. Whether it is a vending machine that must report stock and take payments, a dining room that needs to seat guests with working Wi-Fi, or a truck whose position has to reach dispatch — the requirement is the same: cheap per site, reliable, and visible from a dashboard.

What this environment asks of the network

1

Cost per site dominates

At a thousand sites, a small saving per unit is a large number. So is a single unnecessary truck roll.

2

Payment cannot drop

Unattended machines lose revenue and trust when the link fails mid-transaction. Fast recovery matters more than headline speed.

3

Guest Wi-Fi has to hold a crowd

Full dining rooms and busy shops mean many clients per AP. Client capacity and roaming matter more than raw throughput.

4

Vehicles move between cells

Fleet links have to re-establish after dead zones and keep position reporting flowing, without the driver doing anything.

A typical deployment

Site or vehicle Vending controller, POS terminal, guest devices, or in-vehicle telematics and cameras.
→
LINBLENET device A 4G router for the machine, APs plus a gateway for the store, or a vehicle router with positioning.
→
Operations platform Stock and sales, guest analytics, dispatch and fleet tracking.

Hardware we usually ship into this

From deployments like yours

Unattended retail

Connected vending and self-service machines

Unattended machines moved from coin-only to connected payment and stock reporting. Retrofitting a link turns each machine into a managed endpoint with sales and inventory data.

Used: a 4G router carrying the machine's connection and data, alongside the operator's own application board — remote management, real-time stock and sales.

Hospitality

Guest Wi-Fi for dining rooms and shops

Guests expect Wi-Fi that simply works when the room is full. Coverage planning and client capacity, not headline speed, decide whether it does.

Used: controller plus dual-band access points — high client count, high throughput, stable roaming between APs.

Logistics

Fleet connectivity with vehicle positioning

Freight operators need vehicle position and on-board data at dispatch, continuously, with the driver doing nothing.

Used: a vehicle cellular gateway with positioning — 4G/5G connection, GNSS reporting, on-board data collection and remote management.

Customer and brand names are withheld. Retail deployments are frequently delivered through integrators; we describe the application rather than the end client.

What to send us so we can quote

✓How many sites or vehicles in the first batch, and the planned total?
✓Is it a machine, a fixed store, or a vehicle? Each has a different hardware answer.
✓For machines: controller interface — Ethernet, RS-232 or RS-485?
✓For stores: floor area, expected concurrent clients, and any POS separation requirement.
✓For vehicles: do you need GNSS, and what supply is available in the cab?
✓Who provides the SIM and data plan — you, or should we quote it?

Give us the site count, we will give you the per-site cost

Retail economics are decided per site. Send the rollout size and what sits in each location and we will come back with a configuration and a delivery schedule.
