2. What we collect

  • Information you give us — name, company, country, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and the content of your message, when you fill in an enquiry form, request a datasheet or a price list, apply for a sample, or open an RMA.
  • Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring page, collected through our analytics tool (Google Analytics 4). We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual visitors.
  • Correspondence — emails and messages exchanged with you, including quotations we send.

We do not collect payment card data through this website, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and send the documents you asked for (datasheets, price list, compliance files).
  • To prepare and follow up quotations and samples, and to administer orders and warranty claims.
  • To keep business records required by Chinese tax and accounting law.
  • To understand which pages are useful, so we can improve the site.

Legal bases under the GDPR: your consent (marketing follow-up), performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (quotations, samples, orders), our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and securing the site, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host this website and our email, and the analytics provider named above.
  • Couriers and freight forwarders, limited to what is needed to ship samples or goods to you.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

5. Where your data is processed

Our systems are hosted in mainland China and, for email and analytics, with providers that may process data on servers in other countries. If you are in the EEA or the UK, this means your data is transferred outside your jurisdiction; we rely on the necessity of the transfer to perform our contract with you, and we apply access controls and confidentiality obligations to limit that processing to the purposes above.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to business: up to 24 months.
  • Customer, quotation and order records: for the period required by Chinese accounting and tax law (generally 10 years from the transaction).
  • Analytics data: retained in aggregated form; Google Analytics 4 is configured to the shortest retention available.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. Analytics cookies are set only after the page loads, and you can block them with your browser settings or a browser extension; the site remains fully usable without them. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, or receive it in a portable format. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, write to Brian@libtor.com. We reply within 30 days and we do not charge a fee.

9. Security

Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to answer you. The site is served over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, and if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
